HONORS THESIS

Hailey is working on an Honors Thesis paper at NYU Tisch's Theater Studies Honors Program. The Thesis will be completed in the Spring of 2026, and will be advised by Professor Carol Martin. Her thesis seeks to answer the following primary question: How can theatre makers investigate themes of war and brutality in a way that is impactful rather than indulgent? Through an analysis of sensationalist media and our current political climate, she will seek to define a framework of best practices that approaches stage violence as a tool in which audiences can experience empathy rather than emotional numbing.
